I remember the quotation on "berfikir sejenak lebih baik daripada beribadah sepjg tahun",,,<--- ooppss, or i might be exhegeratIng here... but it something sounds similar to that...the key point is the importance of putting thots together and be mindful. yup, be mindful and thinking are 2 different things.
the first one is about having your self conscious in every situation. thinking WHILE doing, and do WHILE thinking.
The later is more on the verb of thinking by itself... either you think before doing something (some sort like strategizing or planning)... and can also be thnking after you have done something, its more of self reflecting...
the "job" carry the same action which is "THINKING"... but the practices are different...
1) thinking to tag along other verbs / actions.
2) thinking prior or post an action / situation.
Although same process but of different timing and different pairing, both bring different impact as well...
For this post, i'll be sharing bout the first one, MINDFUL...
i started to learn about "mindful" (my official acquisition of the MINDFUL theory ) when i attended a breastfeeding talk that discussed the "psychological impact of breastfeeding to mothers and babies"... We discussed how "mindful-ness" is very important while breastfeeding babies. Despite the milk that running out from the mom to the baby, the spirit is also transported... there's different in the psychological effect to whom tht be present while feeding their kid (emotionally and physically) as compared to mothers that feed the baby at one hand and buzy texting / FB-ing on the other hand... (Heyyy, who said impossible, me too did that some time...:p)... It is encouraged that while feeding, mothers' to have skin-2-skin touch wth the babies, held them tight, play with their fingures... this somewhat can be very stimulating to the baby (and also mom's milk... dont be surprise...!)... besides that, its the best time also to think of all kind of GOODNESS that u wish for the baby, it kinda DU'A to them and the +ve signals are not just WiFi-ing to the baby but even more effective it runs in every drop of milk the baby gulps... (heyyy, dont we still remember the theory of conduction?? it happens best via touching medium uuhh??! :) )
Westerns are very much into this topic of research currently, while without realizing, Moslems have been practicing this since... FOREVA... in our prayers, we have been taught to "BE PRESENT" all the time while performing solat. (Khusyuk is the term...)
and this practice should be carried out in our daily life.
Other evidence tht shows how mindfulness is relevant is the saying like "take one thing at one time". It somehow encourage us to focus and be present of our CURRENT.
~~~TBC~~~
